As the reighning Czar of B.A.K.C.A, I would like to formally invite all of you members of BladeForums, and all of you "knifenutts" to the 23rd Annual Bay Area Knife Collectors Show to be held at the Hyatt Rickeys in Palo Alto,Ca on the 28th and 29th of Sept.
We have a lot of good makers attending and it should be a good one.
Hope to see you there.
Randy

hi Nifrand!

I'll be there Saturday morning! Gotta check out dakine Mayo's! Mahalo, Bruddah!

Hank:cool:

I will also be there early Saturday. I've made a point of not buying any new knives for the last couple of months (except for that Ka-Bar/Dozier Thorn that looked so nice!) so that I would have plenty of nickels and dimes.

"I've heard Scott Cook's gonna be there?"

I would assume that he will be there since he is the maker of the Club Knife for 2002 and the knife will be distributed at the show (obviously to those who have already ordered it).

Personally, I will definitely be there. This is my 2nd year of attendance at the show and my first year of membership. I'm also going to Blade West (in Irvine, CA) this weekend so it is a busy knife time for me.
:)

I will be there Saturday morning. I attended last year for the first time and found it to be a great experience. Hope to meet many Blade Forums members there.

We will be coming down Friday, and be at the show sometime Saturday morning. It will be our first BAKCA Show, and looking forward to seeing you again Randy, and well as some of the other people off the forums.
As usual I will be wearing my Bladeforums hat, so say Hi, and introduce yourself as one off of the forums.:D

I forgot to mention that we have a social on Sat.night after the show.It is only $12.00 and they put out a great spread.Might want to give it a try. Good time to catch up on the knifetalk.

Yes, Scott Cook MS will be there. But only for one day of visiting. I just talked to him about it. He had some unfortunate stuff come up that he must handle. I will be there also. I may be fast asleep but I will be there.

Sleeping knifemakers! Say, this might be a good time for some customer bonding, by bringing some magic markers and peanut butter and re-living some amusing college hijinks! :)

See you guys there

A flash from the past... :)

I guess there is a couple fellows named Scott Cook. I'm not the MS but I am delivering the 2002 club knives, maker of the Lochsa and Owyhee Hunters, and a few triple-ground daggers.

I'll be there both days and attending the social. See ya.

I'll be there early Saturday, hope to meet some of you there, heck if your not there early on the first day you will miss some of the good stuff, it goes fast.

I'm hoping Tom Mayo will have my TNT, he said he would try, either way i will be glad just to see Tom again and hopefully some of his knifes! hehe

Two Scott Cook's, you know what they say, too many cooks spoil the pot! LOL

Scott, maker of the triple-ground dagger, i have one of those, i got it from Jay and Karen of ACK's, very nice indeed. I got a paring knife from you at last years BAKCA Show and it's now my favorite kitchen tool, i use it to cut almost everything including chicken, it's AST-34 flat ground blade really cuts it! BTW Scott i will see you at the Show.

Cheers!
James

In addition to the knife show,
There will be a Knife sharpening demonstration by Custom Knife Maker Phil Wilson.
And a rope cutting demonstration presented by Bill Herndon J.S., James Rodebaugh J.S., Mike McClure J.S. and Walter Stockwell.
Hope you will all come down to Palo Alto for some fun and knife fondling:) this weekend September 28th and 29th.

This will be my third visit to BAKCA, and my first as a member. I'm going to try to get there early on Sat. morning to help set up or lend a hand where ever its needed. Looking forward to a knife I'm picking up from Ron Clark at the show too (right Ron?)! Since I'm unemployed, this won't be a good year for buying for me, but I will enjoy the camraderie. I'll do my best to meet as many of you as I can.
