I know this is a little off topic for this forum, but has anybody with hands on experience with Wilton's B.A.S.H. sledge hammers formed a opinion about them. They look pretty durable and I have had several sledge handles break on me.

I can't even get my head around the idea of spending $150 on a sledge hammer.

Choose a quality wood handle and learn not to over strike.

The 8 lb. runs about $80 and over striking is not a problem for me. I am a large sized fellow and quite capable of putting some force behind a sledge hammer.

I use the sledge for different things on the farm. Busting or shearing small limestone rock outcrops in fields is usually were my sledge looses its head.
