Hey guys,

Here's one hot off the grinder.

It's a 3.5" Gents knife with 1000 grit satin finished 304 bolsters and machine finished D-2 blade. The scales are Amber Stag that I got from Culpeppers. I just mailed this one out to Decatur In. I think he will be happy. What do you think?

Here are some more pictures if you’re interested?

She's a curvy thing, ain't she? :cool::thumbup:

That second photo where that curvy beauty is lying down staring at you is sexy!

Why are y'all looking at me like that?

Brent,

As I said before thanks again for all your efforts. I cannot wait until I get this beauty in my hands!! I have been looking at photos posted throughout the process and been drooling all along. Glad to see others like her as well. Waiting, waiting ... Just a couple more days only I hope.

Very nice. The workmanship looks terrific.
After looking at the pics for awhile, I really like the shape..

Like a banana.:thumbdn:

A+ for execution, proportion, and finish(from the photos) D for design....needs to go back to the drawing board.

Best Regards,

Brent,

In order to forestall any misunderstandings or hurt feelings let me just say this...

STeven has very strong opinions and is not shy about expressing himself. I'll let him speak for himself but I suspect that he is actually complimenting your ability and workmanship but simply stating (in his own blunt way) that the "pattern" doesn't work for him on a variety of levels. Hey, not everyone likes every style or pattern.

The fact that he sees the apparently high level of execution speaks volumes (especially if you know a little about the source). Don't take the criticism as being dismissive of your ability or your work. I think STeven will tell you the same.

Elliott, you said it well, and didn't mean to come in, hurt anyone's feelings or talk down to them, just speak it plain, and forget that not everyone on the Forums is used to my style.

Brent, you have mad skills, looks like Ruple hisself ground and finished that blade, but the pattern you came up with is not to my taste, and like Elliott said, many are not....just stating my opinion.

Best Regards,

No offence taken. However, the explanation is appreciated.

I realize that we are not all cut from the same cloth. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something big, considering how strong the statement was concerning the design.

Thanks, Brent
