I wasn't really in the mood to stop and take photos, but I used my BK14 to break into my truck this morning.
I was dropping the kids off at my mom's house on my way to work. It was a typical day, my name sake quickly unbuckled himself and as I opened my door he reached for his handle and opened his. Then he bounced out of the back seat of my extended cab Silverado and made a bee line to nana's front door. The other 2 (9yo daughter & other twin 4yo boy) always take forever just to get there seat belts off. Then I have to coach them out of their seats and they argue as to who gets to close the doors. While they're arguing and tugging on the door my daughter hits the lock button and slams the door shut. My keys are hanging from the ignition. I always leave my keys in the truck at my mom's house... Always.
A little back story.... Johnny (step-dad) has a body shop and buys & sells vehicles for cash only at the house. Sooo, plethora of tools at my exposal. While Johnny is looking for a wedge and a hammer and a long stiff wire saying we gotta pry the door back and use this antenna to hit that button, I pull out my BK14, pry open the back Window just enough to pop the push lock open, then grab an old broom handle out of the bed of the truck (for some reason I started carrying a broom handle In my truck and have found many uses for it over the last year), slid the handle in the small opening of the extended cabs back window and pushed the unlock button. Johnny says, how the heck did you do that? I showed him the knife and the broom handle and he says, you'd better hold on to those tools!
