B.I.G. Team Gemini question

Hi all,
I'm still in the learning phase of all things Busse and was hoping someone here can help with a question. Every image I've searched of the Busse Team Gemini in the BIG satin finish has the Busse stamped logo on the ricasso, this includes all the ones I've seen for sale.. All except for one. This particular BIG SF TG has the Busse mark on the flat, so can anyone advise if Busse made this version of the Gemini with its mark on the flat, if so when ? Just trying to figure out if this was factory or if someone might of taken a TG14 and made it a BIG finish. Thanks in advance.. I'll upload a picture of the actual knife I'm referring to, the seller is good guy ( 2nd Busse I'm purchasing from him) very honest and when I asked him, he suggested I ask on the forums since he wasn't 100% certain.

Thank you for responding, when I did my search earlier I did find that thread too, but those are satin team and not the BIG finish satin. That's what is throwing me off a bit. The finish on the TG I posted is definitely the industrial grade finish.
 
Twiztids4, is your TG14 in the BIG satin ?
I have a satin TG and the finish is much more refined.

Edit: I ask because I bought this knife as a BIG SF TG, the person I bought it from was a 2nd owner. I also want to say again, he`s a trustworthy guy and I know he was not trying to get one past me, it was sold to him as a BIG TG as well.

Sure looks like B.I.G. finish to me. Though I suppose its possible somebody had a regular TG14 with hand applied satin finish reground to look like that? That's my guess that its a regrind possibly.
 
Thanks Hyde, that's what I was thinking, regrind with the big finish on a 14.

Thanks duramax, it is a awesome look on this blade!
Trying to figure if it was factory or aftermarket finish. The Busse logo location is throwing me off.
 
Agreed leatherman and the finish imho looks great with the black micarta, just want to know if I bought an original or aftermarket finish. I will try to call the busse shop Tuesday morning to see if they put any b.i.g. out with the Busse logo on the flat.
 
I do recall some infidus going out with a different Busse logo. It was done at the request of the buyer. But that sure looks like my BIG ASHBM finish
 
I have one just like it. I’ll try and get pictires. Bought it second hand from a buddy. I always thought it was a Blade Show exlusive or something like that. I had another one that looked just like it but had Busse going across the handles
 
Certainly appears to be a BIG finish and I can't for the life of me figure why someone would reduce the value of a Factory Satin finish by applying an after market less valuable finish:confused: I can see upgrading from Comp finish to Satin not downgrading:eek:
 
I agree Busto, but then again I've seen many people make choices I myself wouldn't. Could have been a user blade and someone who knows what they are doing could have modified it. But after research and some responses I got, this is a factory finish, was curious (still learnig) about Busse logo locations on different knives. Good to know Busse is very responsive and accommodating to customer requests when ordering and good to know about the blade show exclusives that are out there. Thanks again to all for the input..
