I know it's been out for a while but I just picked up a Snody/Benchmade Instigator. What a great little neck knife! $45.00 USD for a slick, tough little neck/utility knife. It's Taiwanese Aus-8 and came sharp but I used a fine ceramic rod to touch it up a bit so it shaves. The sheath system is better than many neck knives and keeps the blade secure. I was wearing Becker's Necker but it was rusting from my sweat and I could'nt seem to keep a decent edge on it. The Snody is lighter and is quite discreet. It even carries well in a pants pocket and works well for my daily tape and cardboard cutting chores at work. It looks good, performs well and is cheap enough to replace if lost. This is my third piece from BM's "red box" Taiwan collection and so far I'm really impressed. I used the Fecas Gamer this trout season and as a camp knife, and it too, performs well for a discreet, thin fixed blade. Any one else have any thoughts on Benchmade's Tawian series? Complaints?

Glad to hear about your good luck with your knife.
I own 2 of the BM Red Box knives...the Monochrome and the smaller Ambush. Both are very well-made, but for some reason the Ambush just has not grown on me. I'm not sold on the Rolling Lock. But the Monochrome is pretty awesome. I've used it some and it's easy to get sharp again when necessary. One thing I notice about the two Taiwan-made BM's I have; the edges come with one side ground thicker and the other side ground thinner. I would prefer both sides be even, but nonetheless, they work fine, especially my Monochrome. Although I carry/use my BM 805 and 556 more often.
