Straight and too the point. Really nice Jeff:thumbup:

Very nice knives Higgy.

Did you make the sheaths yourself? They are also pretty.

Yes I did. They are my 4th and 5th sheaths.

Looks more like you have doing it for some time.

Can you point me in the direction of a book or some other source to gain a bit of knowledge regarding the craft?
thanks,

Mike

Chuck Burrows DVD, all the way, baby!

Its the only one you need. :D

You used 300 stainless for the bolster and pins. Is that 304 or free machining 303 ? Have you used 416 ? Why would you use 300 rather than 416 or does it make much difference ?

Thanks a lot Higgy. I hope I can get mine as nice as yours in as short a time;) Once again, nice job all round.

Too many questions Higgy can't handle all at once! Hahah! No problem. Its 303, and the only reason I use it is because I bought a lot of it. I have not tried 416... Is there an advantage to using 416 over the 300-series? The only one I can think of immediately is that it'll stick to a mag chuck.

Thanks Mike. Just lock yourself in for a weekend and watch that video about 10 times. If you can't get it right at first, just force-feed it to yourself until you breathe it in and out! Soon, you will be wearing a bandana, some overalls, grow pigtails and talk with a funny Colorado accent! :p :foot:

...your leatherwork will look A-effin-fan-tastic though! :D

Ho ho, I have a funny South African accent that baffles most people, that might do the trick.:D
Thanks for the advice and tips.

Mike
