I gave the B11 a spot of a thrashing yesterday cutting out some horrible bamboo vines that are choking up some of our trees.

I was belting away a the stem near the ground on one and came into contact with a very hard rock. Several times! Sparks flew!!!

It's interesting to note these were full blooded swings making direct contact with the rock! This is testament to the strength of INFI. There is no way I would have done this with anything other than a Busse.

With a bit of a sharpen on a diamond stone and a polishing steel, she'll be back scary sharp and ready for more!

Good on ya Mate.
Beat it good.

Thanx for the pics mate....Great steel for tough jobs like bamboo and a home spa treatment will have it ready for the next task....

You sure did beat that blade! The other guy must look like hell.

Can't wait to see what she looks like after the mani pedi

Robb, do you straighten your edge with a steel before you sharpen?

Thanks for sharing your pics, they're always great!

Sometimes I do, depends on the edge damage. If it's just edge deformations/misalignments, a steel will straighten it out. These are definite dents as opposed to slight misalignments, so a hit on the diamond stone will get it back to crazy sharp. It will have a few 'teef' for a while, or ghetto serrations if you will :)

Interesting choice Rob - the B11 - given all your Infi  The lightness to power on the Basic Range make it my choice for just about all tasks.

My Zilla's come out for downing trees - but my Basic 9's go everywhere I do in my rucksacks  The B11 needs more "chopping time" - I will give mine a roll out soon :)

Love it! I need to get a couple Basics. I had an HHFSH I chopped rocks and metal with several times. Pretty easy to get back in to working shape.
