Looking for a kydex-lined cordura sheath with outside pocket (similar to Spec-Ops Combat Master) to fit a Basic 11. I realize I can get one from Semper Paratus Tactical to fill the bill, but give a shout-out for Dan anyway if he is your guy for cordura-kydex sheaths.

Any other favorite sources among the Bacon Battalion for kydex lined cordura pants to house a B11?

Thanks in advance.

I think we have had this discussion before, there is a paucity of such long sheaths. Rumor has it that Spec-Ops will be making one, in Two Weeks.

It may be that your only option is to haunt the Exchange for a LMIW John Holmes model.

Yep, until spec-ops comes out with a long sheath, or until LMIW makes its return (sounds unlikely,) your best bet is to grab two pouches and attach with paracord. I can't do it right now, but in a thread I started, a PostBan posted a pic of a pancake AZwelke sheath (can work with any pancake sheath, but azwelke bends some good Kydex,) with two pouches attached. I think he got them at Cheaperthandirt he said. I'll post more info later. It seemed like a very nice and useful setup.

Still, I too would like to have long cordura sheaths available, just like the LMIW sheaths.

ETA: here's the link to PostBan's post showing his setup: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ring-back-LMIW-sheaths!?p=9887045#post9887045

I would check it out, because it seems like a good solution to the issue. You get the retention of molded Kydex, along with the pouches found on a Cordura sheath.

Ive got an ontario/RTAK sheath with some sort of plastic lining, not sure if its kydex but it works really well for the B11 or NMFBM. Picked it up at my uncles shop. It was just layin around, likely because he made a kydex for someones RTAK so Im not sure if you can buy just the sheaths. If I recall though, he said he could possibly order me more??? Might be worth looking into. Good luck.

While I have never personally owned a SEMPER PARATUS, I have seen a few and they look good. Never heard any complaints.

Many thanks for all input so far, especially to Brother Flux for the link and ResinRib for reminding me re: LMIW whose work had fallen off my radar. Also, bonus points to Resin for using the word "paucity" instead of its more bland cousins "scarcity" or "shortage". :D

Dericdesmond, If you or your uncle can source that sheath, I'd be interested in tracking one down since it looks a lot like the cordura-kydex that the Busse knives have shipped with in the past and that I have found to be serviceable sheaths. You can PM or email me re: that sheath if you have a line on them. TIA.

Garth, here are a couple quick shots I just took of my avatar knife (Terror Monkey NO) with its Semper Paratus custom pants showing both the front and back of the sheath. Yeah, his work is rock solid and bombproof. Which is why, besides being pretty local to me, his wares stay high on my list of options for Bussekin sheaths.

Oh..... and another one I found from earlier.
