These are UNBELIEVABLE!!! I was finally able to handle a few Ros Arms blades at Blade and let me say, they do NOT disappoint.

I just had to get this out as I will be posting some action shots of these two soon.

I wish there was a Cliff to get but I have completely happy with the ones I got. Those that know me know I am a Busse knife user first, but I will without a doubt be getting more of these.

For those that like thin blades, there are more to choose from and the designs are elegant and functional. I was drawn to the thicker ones and can't wait to get ARTIBASH, FOX- 2, Taiga, and the other thick ones. I used the baby to drop a few small 2.5"- 3" diameter trees while still in Atlanta... (sorry, no pictures) and it still shaves hair.

The Finish is still damn near perfect...I am not the biggest fan of mirror polishes, so I will satin these out.

I would still like to see almost all of them offered in full .250 thickness.

These blades are a sleep that is about to hit the knife market hard!!!!

Thank you very much! I know Baby model was tested in the Polar expedition in 2000.

Here they were Factory Fresh.

The ray is sweet I saw one at blade and thought about getting it but I waited to long and some other lucky person grabed it . great knives

I picked up 3 in Atlanta myself, great knives.

Can you post a pic of any blades you make satin?

I am a Busse/Scrapyard guy myself and also have a Baby.
Fantastic fit and finish and a great light balance.

I just received my Fischer and Fry yesterday. Love the knives, not crazy about the sheaths. Pretty thin, floppy, and generic. The Fry needs the edge thinned a little, but that's more of a personal preference. I like them thin. That will just take a few seconds on my belt grinder. I'm also going to open up the choil on the Fischer a little to allow a choking up grip for delicate work. Its just a tad too small for my pointer finger. Again, just a few minutes work and more of a personal preference.

I'm really intrigued by the birch bark grips. They feel awesome. Fit and finish on these knives is really great. All the bevels are nice and even, and everything is finished quite nicely. Definitely worth the cost. Once I get the time to make up a couple of custom leather sheaths, these will both fit nicely into my carry rotation.

As I said before.... Sheath is free.... :)

Thank you!

A1 knife plus a free sheath to transport in........or a mediocre knife and a fancy hard leather sheath.....

I'll take option one...and depending on the knife, get a leather works maker to work one up....or contact Normark for some plastic fantastic.

I love Normarks sheaths but I do think the Rosarms suit leather better. His are the only plastic sheaths that don't scratch but i would still get leather for anything with a mirror finish.

I found the sheaths on the smaller knives were somewhat generic but the ones on the Fox2 and especially the baby were fantastic. The leather was not as thick as S style but plent sturdy and very supple. My theory is for the baby because it has such a big odd shaped blade they needed to custom make the sheaths and so did a very good job while the smaller ones look like they were outsourced.

Here is a photo of my Baby and DFLE both in sheaths. If you click on the photo and then on the enlarge button on the bottom right it will be easier to see the leather.

How do I post photos here? I have 3 new Ros Arms knives fresh from Vlad's new stock and want to share them!

I would recommend you to use any kind of photo hosting. Or just e-mail me your pictures and I will host them on my server and will post them for you.

Or just try to use that "insert image" button.

I uploaded my photos into a photo hosting site tonight and i'll put then in a thread in the next day or so. Thanks for the suggestion Vlad!

I just received my Baby and am very pleased (also got a 10% discount by saying I would post some comments about it on bladeforums. Nice deal).

The sheath is very strong and fits the knife very well. I have heard some negative things about the quality of Rosarms sheaths on their other knives, but for the Baby at least, the sheath is excellent.

I opted for aluminum instead of micarta on the handle and am happy with that choice as it seems like a better looking material in terms of quality and more durable. The leather handle is very appealing but I wonder about the long term durability of the leather after years of heavy use, getting wet etc. I would have preferred the handle to be made of birch bark, like some of the other Rosarms models. Birch is a lovely looking and strong material. Time will tell.

Basically as a relative knife newb, I was looking for a big versatile knife that could be used for chopping and I was frustrated with companies like Swamprat, Scrapyard etc having nothing in stock. The Baby feels good in the hand and has a nice balance and weight for such a big knife.

The fact that this knife has character, natural materials, beautiful mirror shiny blade, and made in Russia made it a very attractive choice. I also found it an excellent value for a knife of such high quality.

Does the baby ever look good with the aluminum bolster and pommel!

I just got some new Rosarms and the sheaths are much improved on all the models except the beaver and that is a very tricky item to sheath. The sheath for the Pin thrower was as good as any custom leather sheath. The Cliff sheath was also especially good and the bayonet ,Ray and Companion were standard while the beaver was the only one not so good as shown in Winz's excellent review.

The customer service was amazing even when i freaked out about the tip being broken off the PIN and it turned out they come that way so they stick better. I even YELLED AT THE POOR GUY IN ALL CAPS!! so I feel pretty dumb:eek: Even worse I have heard of that for throwers before.
