I have been looking for some six dot sodbusters for a long time and I finally found the two I have been searching for. Here is a '74 sodbuster and a '74 Locking sodbuster. I would like to find a CV and the Kentucky bicentennial green sodbuster made in the same year and I think it will be complete.
I also lucked out and found two shadow pattern Baby Butterbeans. I have only seen these shadow knives once before and to find two in one day is very nice.

Thanks,
Nathan

Thank you Doug. I am looking forward to seeing a new sodbuster jr shadow in person.

Congrats on getting the grails,I didn't even know they made a locking SB.

Forgive my ignorance please, but I gotta ask, what is the shadow referring to?:o

"Shadow" means no bolsters.

Nathan, Congrats on the finds and thanks for sharing with us. Those are awesome!

Wow. Love those butterbeans! I have always liked that pattern but have been conned out of all but one of mine. Although those knives look great now, in my mind I could instantly imagine how good they would look with a few years of pocket wear. Nice!

Wow... those Butterbeans are just beautiful. I can´t believe they are not available new in these days... maybe they´ll get made in some time again - and shadow versions of them in CV for sure :D

"Shadow" means no bolsters.

Those are indeed terrific looking butterbeans Nathan! Could you post a picture with the blades open and looking down into the knives? That would illustrate the 'shadow' / bolsterless pattern.
...more to be on the lookout for

Thank you all!

Will do.

I like the "more to be on the lookout for" saying. The problem (not really a problem) is that when I am on the lookout for something, something like these two butterbeans come along and shove aside what I was originally looking for.
It makes it fun....

Tang stamps indicate 2001 but I do not have the original boxes. I remember seeing a set a long time ago that had a mini copperhead, stockman, small coke, small gunstock and a few others that I cant recall that were from 2001 also. They were the autumn color. I never knew there was a green shadow before the other day. I like it and I would like to know what other patterns were in the green family.

Very nice Nathan!!! I have a Baby Butterbean from 2001 as well but with bolsters.

I like it a lot but never find myself carrying it

Thanks for the additional information. I didn't realize the one knife was green until catching the translucent edge in these last pictures. That takes it to a whole new level.

I have one Baby Butterbean/Mini Canoe lurking about somewhere but never really took to it. This shadow model is extremely nice looking though. Wonder if full size Canoes have ever been made as shadows?
