A little over a year and a half ago, I began to look more closely at the Busse knives. I had owned 'The Other' brand, and was looking to find out more about this.. 'INFI'...

Well, first I picked up an SJT in Tan/Tan from the Company Store. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I was reading about this 'Steel Heart' and talked myself into buying a Desert Shadow Camo Steel Heart. I tried it out for heft, and cut some air with it. I thought it was a little 'big' at the time, and sold it. Shame, dirty! :)

A few weeks pass, and I buy another FSH. I actually *use* this one, and then I *Really* start to like them. A lot. And now I want the Desert Shadow Camo FSH Back... woe is me...

I kept track of her with the new seller, who assured me that she was well taken care of. I asked about buying it back a few times this past year, all attempts were 'No Joy'... Finally, after considerable discussion, I was able to bring Baby, my First Steel Heart, home, just today.

That is great to hear....I have repurchased several blade I gave up and later regr......er, I mean reevaluated. Now that it has stayed so pretty, give her a few scuffs!

Reevaluate.... well now... Ok, you get credit the first three times I use this term, then it's ALL MINE! :)

She has a few scuffs for character. She's a user, with a good story, now.

Always great to see a knife head home. Of one I owned, I had no regrets getting it back to it's first owner. Makes yah feel good inside. :thumbup:

I try to offer back to the original seller when I sell something, especially if it's something I know is special to the person I got it from. I have had a LOT of good transactions here on Blade Forums, and it's been a great learning experience, and Busse Handling Opportunity. Buy it, Try it, Like it, or Move it. It's been the pattern that has brought me to my favorites, the SHSH and FSH, oh, and Gravelface, the DABA is N-I-C-E, too :p

It's ok that I can't go to a 'store' and handle Busses before I have to buy one... I've learned a lot about what I like, what 'fits' me and my needs, and what I don't like. I've enjoyed the journey. :o
