Well with the bad news I had recently, I decided to only buy one khukuri for my birthday (I turned 37 on 8/16). Since the 30" Sirupati was more expensive I ordered a Bilton.

When I opened the box I thought it was a baby khukuri, or maybe a khukuri seed. It does look a lot like my BAS. The sword of Shiva is simpler and there is no but plate but the bolster is brass and the handle is horn. In fact the horn is VERY well carved and there's not a bit of rouge left on it. The blade is extremely well shaped and has some distal taper. The edge not very sharp. There are a few small rust spots but nothing that bothers me.
The scabbard is a little tight in the throat and the leather is not as good as that on the other scabbards. I'll certainly replace it.

This is a sweet little knife and I'm going to have a lot of fun with it. I'll certainly put a convex edge on it.

you guys are deliberately waving Biltons in front of my face, silently singing "NA NA NAAAAA NAH!"

I KNOW about conspiricies. Single gunman indeed.

Yes Sir, I like my Bilton and my Grandson likes the one I gave him. I seem to have one of three knives at close range most of the time. A Bura 12" AK, the Bilton, and neck knife Kagas Katne, I have another neck knife hanging in the kitchen that Sarge made. It gets a lot of mess duty.

I am still surprised about some of these smaller knives. They do come in very handy a lot of times. I hope every body that has a Bilton likes it. They are a working little dude.:)

I love the Bilton that I have. One of these days I'm going to get brave enough to put a slightly bigger handle on it.

If anyone ever takes apart the handle on one of your khuks, please post pics of the process. Thanks.

Bilton??No,I don't have one!:barf:Now watch Sarge come in struttin his stuff, praising this knife :barf: ! If Pappy Sermper & Sarge have one,"I don't want one"!Kis,you can have the next one!

Quackety quack quack, what's all this racket I hear? Now look here "Saint", Biltons are fine little khukuris, got one for my daughter, and one for my sister, and I carry and use mine without apology to anybody. Reason you don't like 'em is they require a certain amount of finesse to use properly, and you just don't have the manual dexterity for it, all these years of playing with them big old M-43s and such have made you clumsy. Stick to the big knives, they're safer, don't have to stand so close to what you're cutting on, wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, you wouldn't be able to keep them 10 women "happy" if you were lamed up. Ah, the mental image of the poor Lame DUck, his harem of girls wringing their hands and weeping at his misery. Sniff, gotta go wipe my eyes, so sad.:p ;)

Actually, I think a Bilton would be just about the perfect size for a duck. Maybe he could get a special order with a handle contoured for webbed feet. What do you say, Saint? :D ;) :p :p

What an excellent idea Jim, an Opera. It'll be titled "The Quack of Doom", starring Pen as "Convex the Barbarian", and Sarge as the humble monk "Brother Bilton". Our intrepid heroes track the terrible Quackipuss to his lair, a dark cave in the middle of a stinking swamp. There a horrific battle ensues involving all manner of hand forged cutlery. Gaining the upper hand, Quackipuss has Convex the Barbarian backed into a corner, and with a Durba in each hand, thinks he is about to deliver the fatal blow. Just then Brother Bilton, who'd been busying himself with the Duck's harem of 10 women, leaps forth and shanks Quackipuss in the butt with a Kagas Katne. Horrified and humiliated, the Duck expires out of pure shame. "Noooooooo, stabbed in the a$$ with a letter opener, what would the Duke say? Oh the shame, oh the horror, OUCH, that hurt". :D

Sure to be a winner, I've already contacted an agent to start negotiating movie rights. HAH, heee, Bwaaaaaa, it'll be rated PG for "Pala Giveaway".................
