Hello all!
As I carry a Leatherman Wave and a Surefire E2 daily I was thinking of completing the kit with a lighter and was interested in any comment on the Delat from Windmill.

Anyone have one that they dont use for suff other than lighting cigarettes?

Dunno about the Windmill, but I carry a Zippo and a Brunton Helios and either of those works well enough.
 
I have to reccomend a Zippo, I've had mine for years and it has never once failed me.
 
I don't smoke, but I reccomend Zippos. Very cool. I use a cheap Bic lighter for setting off bottle rockets and firecrackers and it seems to work just fine. :)
 
I used to carry a zippo exclusively...but I used it so infrequently that when I really needed it I often found that it had long since run out of fluid....now I carry a small Windmill or Colibri...and a Delta (Windmill) when in the woods...I always carry a few other means of fire too...
 
I quit smoking years ago, so I don't find a Zippo's a very good idea anymore. The fluid evaporates too fast, when it's refilled it used to burn my skin right through my pocket, and it's heavy and could open just banging it around. I got a Brunton Helios for my kit. I don't care for the looks, but it's lightweight, pretty durable, and it works real well.
 
I always wondered why Zippo didn't make a lighter with a butane tank where the fluid cloth is. Seems like you would have the best of both worlds.
