Thinking a SOCP folder with meatcrafter style game processing blade in magnacut might work. If nothing else, it would pack easier in a day pack.

How about putting a meatcrafter style blade in magnacut on a SOCP folder. Might even put some orange in the handles so I can find it after processing an animal in the woods. I can even see a small version with a 3" blade in the water line as a "bird" knife. That long thin handle isn't just for tactical users.

there was a folding fillet knife a while back that was pretty neat. the blade was longer than the handle, when it was closed a plastic extension came out from the handle to cover the tip of the blade so as to make it less awkward when in use

took me a few minutes to look them up, there were a couple different models as far as i can tell. one was a red class knife, the 10115 salmon creek with a 5 3/4” blade and black & grey handle. then there were two lone wolf models with orange & grey handles: the 40041 with a 5” blade and the 40040 with an 8” blade. i’ve never owned any of them but they’re cool looking knives

i know the blade shapes aren’t the same as the meatcrafter but they might be worth looking into. i see them pop up on ebay from time to time

I'll check them out. I like the socp for this because it has full liners...unlike my bugout.

if i remember correctly they're liner locks so i would think they’d have full liners.

Might try to find a 10115. Wish they were US knives. Seems like the market for a 4 inch plus folder wants a deep blade bushcraft style knife.
