Its nice to be back on the BK&T forum after a week in the woods. I was out by Heber Springs Arkansas and it was beautiful! Naturally I packed a ton of beckers. We had a watermelon and the RBK made short work of it. I didn't really use the RBK on anything too large this week trying to keep it goodish condition.
and here is my fiancé cutting it up even more with my bk16
My brother in law and I chopped up a ton of fire wood with my camillus bk9 and bk4. I also had my kabar bk9 with me, and I have to say I really prefer the camillus for the extra weight and thickness.
Also got to take my modded bk10 out. I love this knife more every time i use it.
And here is the group shot.
As you may be able to see from the group shot the bk4 got some rust. So now that I'm home its time to sand it all off and mess up my gun blue finish.
Also got a small chip in my bk9 so its off to the worksharp.
Now the real treat was waiting for me at home. As I'm sure some of you know a bk6 popped up on a popular electronic auction website (sorry if I out bid any of my fellow beckerheads).
well it is very used and needed some work done on the blade.
into the jasco bath
so after a good hour or so of scraping sanding and blueing and more sanding it looks so sexy
Just take a look at that artificial shine (WD-40)
Anyway it was a great week. got to use my bk4 almost every day. Becker knives are the best hand down. Wouldn't be a camping trip without them.
I am sad to come back to the internet after missing blade show only to find the bk39 and bk32. While thats all fine and dandy I'm not sure green handles and that water mark logo will pan out for them. I was really hoping for some new beckers or a release date for the new RBK. Are we not due for some new becker models? The RBK isn't exactly new. oh well I'm sure it will all come in due time. haha patience is not my thing.
