Hi everyone,

It's been about 10 years since I was in this forum. My user name was Jay H and now it is Jay 1. I have a lot of the first Khukris from Uncle Bill. Anyhow, it's great to be back.

Nice to meet you. I'm a newbie who'd never heard of HI, ten years ago, and I think it'll be great to exchange points of view. Welcome back, pt. II.

We'd also be glad to hear about, or see, some of these early blades; I'm sure it'll be a delightful history lesson!

Thank's guys!

It was somewhere around 1995 or so Uncle Bill asked me for help to get the forum going. --- I will try to post some pix of my collection soon. Uncle even sent me small blessed crossed Khukuri's to pin on a hat or shirt which of course I still have and wear on my NRA hat.

Aho Jay! Welcome back!  :D My memory is about as long as my pinkie finger on my left hand but I'm pretty sure I remember you. ;) :)

Welcome back Jay.

I'm another new-comer to HI and it is great having another poster with first hand memories and experiences with Uncle Bill and the 'old days'.

Also looking forward to seeing pic's of the older Khuk's.

Thanks b.c. ,

I can remember a few folks like Yvsa and Big Bob. I don't know how to post pix on the forum yet. I can take pictures of the Khuk's etc. with my cell phone/camera and save on computer. --- I sure would appreciate it if someone can instruct me how to post pictures.

I sure would appreciate it if someone can instruct me how to post pictures.

Here's how I do it ...

Set up a free account with an image hosting site. I use Photobucket. Upload images from your computer to the hosting site.

I suggest reducing the image to 800 x 600 pixels when uploading to the hosting site as this makes it quicker to load for those on dial up and reduces bandwidth usage by BF.

Once uploaded, you will see various codes for the image when you run your mouse over the uploaded photo.

For use here on BF, copy the IMG code as given. In the 'Reply to Thread' box click on the 'Insert Image' icon (third from right side in the line above the reply box).

Paste IMG code into the pop up dialogue box which will appear on screen. Delete the unnecessary "http://" which will be duplicated at the start of the url address.

Click either Preview and then Submit Reply as required.

Your post with photo/photo's will now appear.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Jay, are you the gentleman who has the table at the Baltimore antique arms show? If so, I met you there.
