Back online again. Spent last week in California at Pelton's place picking up an old '94 Land Cruiser. Karen and I drove it back across country spending a little time off roadin' in the Utah desert as well as the rain, sleet and snow in Colorado. Fun car.

Those pics remind me of my '85 Landcruiser...kids came along and the 'Cruiser had to go... sniff sniff :(. It was a diesel, I think it used to get 28 MPG. One of the best vehicles to take a road trip in for sure!

my m.i.l. has a 85 ford bronco 4x4 with a 350 ho......64000 original miles...less than 5 miles on the 4 wheel drive....she was the only owner....it has been set up behind her house for the last 14 years.....if the motor is not locked up i will be starting the rebuild soon...Drew

Southern Utah is pretty awesome. I try to get down there once a year for some hiking in the red rocks.

LOL wow I'm heading out to Oceanside CA. tomorrow. To pick up a 06 1500 pickup going to drive it back to Chicago. I have 10 days to do it so I'm going to do alot of stoping and camping.

Damn jeff, had I known I would have gone down there just to meet ya. Who's karen? Cute girl wearing plaid with an SLR in her hand... where do you find these women?

where do you find these women?

Personals on Craigslist...

...Financially stable, southern SWM adventurer seek SF to wine, dine and share driving duties. Must look good in swimwear and not scream like a puss in the presence of spiders, snakes, south american locals and horny business partners. Ability to start a friction fire a plus. Fishing boat a must. Please send pics of fishing boat....

351 or 350???

Those Cruisers are excellent; I was riding in a 97 that had a blowout and you could hardly tell in the cab. Strait axles are such a plus too.

Sweet ride you've got there! That must be a gasoline engine with only 14mpg.

Here's my old '86 HJ-60, 6cyl diesel, 5spd (30mpg!). Do I ever miss her !

Welcome back and glad you had a good trip. You always have to love those cross country road trips. Congrats on the new truck too, my buddy had a Land Cruiser on his property up north and we both loved that thing!
