Hi guys
well after about a year off from making give or take a couple kiridashi's I have gotten back to making knives.(Funny how getting laid off seems to go hand and hand)
I am take a bit of a different approach to make thou, I have been working at Wally Hayes place for a couple weeks , doing odd jobs and machining some tools and stuff to help get the finishing touches on his shop since he has moved down here, and have found I have a real taste for the neo-tribal style of stuff,
Armed with a few pointer from my new boss I am kinda driven by a less is more kinda thing,
I sold my 2x72 to a buddy so I have to get about 90% done by hammer and the rest by file,
I also let my buddy borrow my propane forge so I had to set up a charcoal forge to get some work done,
cinder block forge, with my anvils
and the first of many Primitive/neo tribal style knive(still in progress)
and my "grinding station"
the knife is 17 inches overall with a 10 inch blade(including ricasso)
The attachment will give a better idea of what it will look like finished,
weather permitting I should be out at it tommorow and hopefully will have some more pics to post.
feels good to make knives agian
