Hello out there. It seems that my travel schedule combined with new product development has kept me away from the forum for a while. My apologies.

"Running a business is like being a salmon. One is always swimming against the current. Occassionally one must navigate up a waterfall. But only dead fish go with the flow".

Lately, there have more than a fair share of "waterfalls".

Eugene was, as always, a fun show.

It will no doubt take me a couple of weeks to catch up on all of the posts that I'ved missed. I have noticed that the group (forumites?) seems to be somewhat self moderating and Carlos has certainly been a big help.

I must say that I'm proud to be part of the forum. Thanx much.

Good to have you back. I hope all this time has been spent slaving over the Paramilitary. Selfish, I know, but I am really looking forward to this one.

Welcome back!

I despise the quality in people that makes them desire to "go with the flow", instead of being an individual. They are neither hot nor cold, but are luke warm! They reject using any independent thought and desire to be just like everyone else. To me, this is self-condeming.

Sal, your willingness to go against the flow is one of the things that makes Spyderco truly cutting edge.

GOOD to see ya back, Sal!.:).

Now, what about a "Lefty" Chinook?...Any-chance of one in the future? (Or at least a "Lefty" pocket-clip?).

Mr Glesser,

I'd like to take this opportunity to that you for something you probably know nothing about. Without going into much detail, I'll cut to the chase by saying that your customer service and warranty department went WAY above and beyond the call on a knife that was, shall we say, unserviceable. This is something your company didn't have to do, in fact I know of no other company (regardless of the industry) that would have done anything similar. I will not forget this.

In addition to this fantastic customer service your company makes the finest cutlery I've ever handled or used. My co-workers have been very impressed with this knife and a few of them now plan to aquire a Spydie for themselves. A couple of them had never even heard of Spyderco before. One of these guys has been carrying a Spydie clone that he bought for a few bucks at a flea market. He had no idea it was a clone, nor did he even know what it was copied from. He handed my Spydie back to me with one comment. "That thing is ####ing sharp!"

Thanks again. :)

Hey Sal, welcome back. One more thing- 'MAKE MORE OF THE LIL' TEMPERANCE MODELS' They are just too hard to find at a decent price right now (the leaf point is anyway).

Nice to hear from you again, Sal.

Anytime you want to share your experiences with us regarding your mini-business tours is fine with us.

It is educational and informative to hear what you have in mind concerning new Spyderco products and the directions you are charting for the company.

Hello Sal, I just wanted to tell you that I have found my perfect EDC for Washington, DC, and it is the sperarpoint Li'l Temperance. I used to use my Gunting, but it became, after 9/11 just was too alarming to people for me to be using in my government office, whereas the LT is the perfect appearance and it does not have the horn to catch on my pocket. The hilt is great for my arthritic paws and the blade hole is nice and large to fit my thumb very easily. I just love it! Thank you very much for I know that you had areas with legal restrictions such as we have in DC in mind when you were designing the knife.
