School's over for the summer, so I'll be available for repair work through August.

As before, unless Uncle Bill has other plans, first priority will be given to warranty repairs. Other repairs will have second priority, and any customizing work will have to wait while repair work gets done.

Like Federico, I've been lurking but not posting much on the Forum.

It's great to be back, but I'm very concerned about the lynch mob that's attempting to change Bruise. I think he's incorrigible, so we just have to grin (and laugh) and bear his pearls of wisdom.

Good to have you back, Art.

Do you do handles? A number of people have asked about that, now that Terry has gotten out of the business.

I'd advise anyone wanting a handle to wait another year for my school to be finished, or to find another source.

Other repairs would get preference over the handle customization, and a handle might not get finished by the end of summer.

As I've told Forumites in the past, handles are time consuming and expensive. Unless you're very attached to a particular blade, you might be better off buying another khukuri (for not much more than the price of the new handle) and have two khuks for the money.

If your handle is broken, send me a picture of it and I'll discuss the time and cost of a replacement in a private e-mail.

Thanks for the welcomes; it's good to be back.

Art - still doing blade repairs as well?

Blade and tang repairs, rehardening if needed.

I haven't really had occasion to do a great number of warranty repairs, but the ones I have done were all blade or tang work.

Bruise, you might switch over to chewing gum and baling wire, just for a change of pace.
