BIG HITS Green laser (astronomy merit badge at the observatory. Great to point stuff out. Light can be seen forever and looks like a full blown light saber in the campfire. Mcculloch x990 HID light. 7 MM cp of WHITE light toasts the others. TAD gear for rappelling. Vertical cliffs and long descents--- I am going to trust gear that 16 year old boys maintain? ITT Gen III night vision gear. PERFECT for those low light nights. Millenium M6 flashlight. HAH!

STUFF I NEED BETTER My cot is that standard one you would buy anywhere. Metal tubular frame, springs, heavy cotton duck. What is the best?

I have a good hammock. I want the best.

Everything else I have seems to be reasonably top quality. Any other ideas for things to blow away the other Scoutmasters would be appreciated.

I have the shortie backpack Thermarest and the long, top of the line thermarest. Both excellent, but in Scout Camp mode I put them on top of the cot. THNX

I too have been looking for a great cot. For hammocks, the old BSA nylon net one was pretty hard to beat. I like the small mesh zip bags to hold my trader OA flaps. Alao I always have a lexan Nalgene bottle of water or three...
