Just finished up 3 days at the Blade Show. I can tell you a great time was had by all! A bunch of super folks and the finest cutlery to be had on the planet earth. Below is a set from Jerry Hossom. The group consists of a 7" Retribution, a 12' Massive Retribution, and a 3" Dog Tag. All are double edged S30V with Green & Black Linen Micarta and mosaic pins.

From top to bottom: A Rob Simonich Mid-Tech Raven, Duane Dwyer D-9 custom (actually got it just a day or two before Blade), Mick Strider custom, a Strider MT, and a Busse Satin Jack. On the left is a Snody OverLord Fighter with RiggerCoat and on the right is a David Dempsey Tusk. Yep, it was a hoot!
Stay Safe,
Clyde

Nice haul. Could you tell me any details about the Raven, what makes it a "mid-tech"?

One hell of a score there Clyde! Shoot, we usually go to knife shows with $1000, a few knives to trade, and a 'short list'...

Coming home, we usually have one less trade knife, a few new knives, and a few dollars...

I'm guessing you came home with even fewer dollars than we normally do... ;)

Sweet, very sweet...nice job there buddy, and thanks for the pics!

Rather than give you some wrong info I snipped this from a post by Rob

Mid-Tech Ravens
Here is a picture of a couple Mid-Tech Ravens. 7" Blade and 12 1/2" overall. These were laser cut, CNC ground, heat treated by Paul Bos to Rc 59, and handles were cut out on my CNC mill. I shaped the handles and put the "Gunner Grip" in by hand. I should have the wholly CNC made handles later this week or early next week. Also, I am changing the mark on the Mid-Techs. My normal mark has Clancy Mt under the Buffalo, the new mark will not have Clancy Mt under it.

I torture tested one of these blades today and the S30-V with Pauls heat treat is impressive in the toughness department. I stabbed it into a fir 2X6 as hard as I could and snapped the tip out sideways. I have snapped more that a few tips off doing this but had no damage whatsoever. I dug all the way through the 2X6. I also chopped up a bunch of bailing wire by laying it on a 2X6 and chopping pieces off it, again no damage. Good stuff so far!

Damn you did well Clyde. Love those Hossom knives and that Mid-Tech Raven. Thanks for the pictures. It's nice to a few people that were at Blade getting their pictures posted.

The Snody Overlord is one of my favorite Snody's! What a GET!! The handle on that one looks very different. Very Cool, I would have loved to have had the chance to get to Mike and Michelle's table while there was still knives on it but was stuck at work on Friday!
