Back from Grand Canyon!

bear,
Great pics!
Too hot this time of year though, for me.
I go in late October, just before snow.

Hot is right! There were some people that had no business at all down there. I am not one to question a person’s sense of adventure but when you are way overweight and barley make it by some miracle down there, you are going to be in trouble. Rescue is $4,000 if you can't get out on your own. It is not a recomended time to be hiking it but on top of the canyon (the rim) it was nice and clear with a gentle breeze.

Great pics. I lived in AZ for 4 years before I went up there and hiked it 10 years ago with my wife and pics really dont do it justice. At least the ones I took didnt.
Tripped me out when we were hiking down and failed to notice some pack mules coming from behind us and startled me. They walked at a really fast clip and litererly walked on the very edge of the path which was straight down a 100 foot drop. One after another 6 of them trodded on by like it was nothing. I dont think I could ride those down. Going up, maybe..
