This VTAC belongs to an SF Soldier who taught several Tomahawk breaching and H2H POI's (program of instruction) in the desert. It was used on glass, dry-wall, live tissue (non-human), and a host of other media.
"JK" did a wide wrap with 100mph tape to give a well spaced but secure grip section, with a lanyard. He also did some conja carving in the haft under the head.
Added a little more personal carving to the other side of the haft...
The sheath is actually a camo'd sheath body to one of Robert Humelbaugh's Survival Sheath Systems Shoulder Rigs, where "JK" removed the rig webbing and simply added a static cord to the front fastener. He would carry his Hawk with the handle jammed into his webgear...when needed, he would flip it out of his LBV and the sheath body would pop off and hang freely...simple, fast, but secure nonetheless.
...just thought this would be cool and interesting to share here.
More soon friends.
