Hey fellas - I'm back from my trip to VA. I never did make it onto Skyline drive as I wanted to, but I did get to hit a few very good trails. I had myright jr. on my back so those dang hills in the mountains were a pretty good workout and lots of fun.

We were in a time share resort in Massanutten and there were some good, short trails that were perfect for me and the family. I had my neice and nephew out with us a lot. They wanted to kill everything they saw....:( It was actually quite frustrating keeping them from destroying everything they saw. At one point he as throwing a rock at a baby bunny....:thumbdn:

Anyhow - we had a blast. Here are some cool pics of the trip.

Oh - no knife play this trip. No pics either - I had an Emerson with me and also had my RC3. I can't put that Emerson down, such a cool knife. While most people wouldn't think of carrying an Emerson into the woods, I really enjoy its overall utility. I plan on putting it to use in the woods soon and snapping some pics.

This one trail was on a ridge - although there weren't many openings, the views were still incredible through the trees. You can kind of see it here.

This little guy was all lone and looked cool by himself. Sometimes my little point and shoot powershot takes some good macro shots!

This was the incline of one of the trails. It was steady and didn't switchback at all so there was no letting up... Quite a chore with about 35lbs of kid and gear on your back. Good workout though

This thing was eye level - it would have sucked to run into it.

This has got to be one of the coolest spider webs I've ever seen. I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the spider that was down in the hole. I really wanted to get him out of the hole so I could get a better look, but didn't want to disturb him. Not to mention it kind of creeped me out.

Thanks, HWP.

My parents took us all to a time share resort, Massanutten. It's just outside of Harrisonburg. It was an ok resort, but the trails were great and their was quite a few of them.

Great photos

what type of emerson do you carry??

Thanks - I carry a CQC 14. I love the blade size in comparison to the handle size. I really love the large handle and the wave feature. I doesn't carry nearly as large as it is.
