Thanks guys. I can tell you about the show, but it would take a book. Some basics are its been going 19 years and its outdoor. Tables are FREE and its a week long. The public comes from all over and its a real family event. One day we had a classical orchestra perform and on another evening all the makers get to gether for a bring your own meat BBQ. Outstanding work from all over is displayed and the suppliers are there in force. Picked up a great piece of musk ox but had to leave the narwale horn and seal skins. Arctic birch is readily available and one of the suppliers gave me a sample. It lacks the size and glitz of most US shows, but the knife makers in Sweden are just like here-the best people you will ever meet. English is required in school so the languge is not problem. It felt very Euro with people from Germany, Norway, Denmark, etc. Even met a guy from France. The tourist office makes it almost hassel free. I stayed in a gov't apt with 2 bed rooms for about $270 a week. Forget the hotels!
