Finally got back in late last night and my ratweiler out of the box. All I can say is that this is one big hunk of steel. Even knowing the size and weight specs I wasn't completely ready for the size and weight of this thing.
I was also having second thoughts about getting the g10 over the micarta as I think the micarta is probably a little prettier. Once getting it though I like the g10 and can't imagine a more indestructible handle material.
We're supposed to have a foot of snow tomorrow so not sure about any action shots but here are a few to tide you over.

G10 Handle OD Green coating minty fresh straight from the Swamp

Out for some fresh air

With a friend from the Swamp (don't want it to get to lonely) For perspective that is a head from a gator just over 10 ft. (I used to work for a nuisance gator trapper)

Then one last one for a size comparison. My normal outdoors knives with the new addition.

I love that G10! I have got to get me one if they ever come back around. Thanks for the pics. It looks like you've all bases covered with your lineup!

Congrats on scoring the G10! I like the G10 option and hope we continue to see more of it from the Swamp.

Congrats! I think the Chopweiler is one of the best blades to come out of any of the Busse companies, not to mention Swamp Rat. Size, shape, thickness, ergos, balance all seem to come together in a very optimal way for a knife that is an effective chopper, and still a practical general utility blade. And even though it's not INFI, you really can't complain about differentially tempered 52100 as it just doesn't get much better than that.

I agree. I love mine. Although it's heavy, it's really well balanced so you don't feel the weight.
