It's a great CRK day when the mail carrier hands you a box that looks like this when opened....
Yep, you counted right. 14 Chris Reeve knives back home to Momma, along with a few extra goodies. Most of this batch needed new birth cards, as the originals were lost in Afghanistan. 2 Zaans, 3 Mnandis, 9 Sebs, most needing only cleaning up and some needing sharpening. One, a Zaan, was so mistreated before I got it that I wasn't sure the warranty was still good. But as you can see here, it looks as good as the one I sent in just for a little clean-up
My small Lignum Vitae needed a bit of work, so I had gold double lugs put on it for good measure...
Some of you may remember my beat up, scratched up EDC Trapeze that sported a blade for a 21 for a while. Well, I decided to put the original blade back on, and have double lugs installed, and let them erase all the signs of use and abuse...
One easy way to tell I had them worked on, the solid head screws are now on 'backward'.
One that I'd sent in was my UG with raindrop damascus that was done by Chris. I didn't let them do much besides sharpen this one and issue a new birth certificate. One interesting thing I noticed. The previous owners thought the inlay was a Garnet, the new card lists the inlay as Almandine. Interesting. Here's an older pic of that one...
I want to give a shout out to Chris' crew for how well they treated my knives!
