Hey, thought i would share a few pics. We spent 6 days doing a horseshoe loop, beautiful country, nice you have access in June @ 12000 ft. Real shame the whole state is under severe fire threat.

Man, if the old eyes aren't deceiving me again for the upteenth time, I do think I spotted a lake towards the bottom right of the photo.
Milkyeye, do you know what type of fish are common in that region? Hell, you know us fishertype people, see some water, & our rods and reels start to quake with anticipation . . . . :)
That looks like one heck of a walk-in, or a helicopter ride and rappelling down a speed rope to get there . . .

Yep, there were a number of alphine likes here. We stayed at 3, lots of fisherman in the Pecos Wilderness, mostly on the Peco River though. I did not fish, did not see many people at all in the 6 days, let alone any fisherman here. A sweet place, it's locked down now with stage 3 fire restrictions. No one has been allowed up there, since last week.
