As for the Fla Show Steve S had a real nice folder . He carved it into a dragon. Had nice steel. The show was had good attendance. There were several good makers. Johnny Stout
had some nice folders, Ron Newton also. The Automatic art knife folks were there. Ralph Selvidio ahd a real nice folder as di George Dailey. JW Smith had his elegant folders there. All in All it was a good show.
Eric Eggly from point seven studios was taking fantastic pictures.

AS for the shot show I didnt get around much.
I was demoing the Impulse for outdoor edge.
I did see the new items from crkt. Kit has done a great job with his line from them.
Ed Halligan has several variations of the kiss. Real neat little kiss for the pocket. Nice money clip size.
Got to meet Frank Sigman. His Tac sheaths and systems are the hot ones IMHO. He does great work. Rob Cude has a hide out knife that Kit and himself are working on. It was Carbon fiber and Talonite. Should go through the chek stand at the airport ok .. The feel of the knife was very good. It has a recurve blade also. (my fav) :}. It was built very well.
Got to see the Crawford Spyderco rolling lock set up. Nice knife . It should sell well.

The most impressive knife I saw was the Outdoor edge Kit Carson model 16. Man that knife is built well. The fit and finish ,overall look and feel is great.

Got to have dinner with a lot of folks from the forum. The dinner was good as was the company. I want to apologize to the folks that I didnt get to talk to. We were involve on our end of the table. :} Got to meet Spark and his lady. Spark is a very nice fellow.
Gus picked me up at the airport. Thanks Gus!!
You are a true gent.
I was very ill through the show so I didnt smile as much as usual. Sinus infection to the max.... yuck..

I snored so loud Dex changed rooms hahahhaha

As for the Krait (outdoor edge Impulse)
The knives we had at the show were delivered Monday. They were first proto's . The look will be good for this knife also the price.
Sales of both Kits and my knife were really good. I have to nit pick my protos now to get the quality under control for the production run. As for the description of the knives..
Kits knife will come with a cold forged aluminum handle or zytel handle. His blade is aus8. We had the aluminum protos at the show . As for myself I will own one of these knives for myself. It was great. Lying next to kits hand made proto they look identical
except the clip which is buried in the handle. The clip also looks like it belong to the knife instead of a add on as many do.

As for the Impulse it will come in an aluminum handle with a 12c27 blade. It will be available in black on black, or bead blast blade and handle. The inserts are rubber with peaks for the grip and will be rounded to fit the hand. The clip on this knife is buried in the handle and sits very low in the pocket. It also is designed as part of the knife not an add on. When gripped you cant feel the clip. The next phase for both knives will be the smaller versions. These will be due in the fall of 99.

Well that was about it for me.. I did get to say hello to Sal at Spyderco. What a nice gent.
