Don't you remember me telling about getting two and giving the other one to the District Judge - ( If you remember Bill Beko ) who kept it on the bookcase in his Hawthorne chambers - I told him I saw the Vulture and the grin on it's face and immediately thought
"That's Judge Beko contemplating the sentence he's going to give a druggie!
 
If you had a hairy day "No one asked, who won..." then you were a bit too cryptic with your topic heading for me to interpret til you made above the quoted statement.

"Back from the wars" is a phrase far too cheapened these days - it is accepted as analogous rather than a statement of fact.
