We are back from Scotland and we had a great time. I hope you all are doing well. I had several positive experiences whilst visiting that may be of interest to you.
1.The folks at the Gurkha Museum are brilliant! Special mention to Mrs. Rosemary Patterson the shop director who saw to it that I got such things as Gurkha Curry Recipe books, Gurkha Tea, Books, tee shirts etc.
2. You all can subscribe to the Brigade of Gurkhas monthly magazine called "Parbate" if you wish and Cpl Robinson ( a Gurkha) Assistant editor is very nice to those who call him.
3. My new wife and Myself dined in two Gurkha Restaurants in Edinburgh! Excellent food.
4. In the museums we visited, we took some photos of Khukuris when we found them. I alredy miss the UK but I had to get back to reality and If I'd stayed any longer, I'd be a confirmed Alcoholic. Cheers every one! PipeyCain

Sounds like you had a very good trip for the honeymoon. All of the side trips sound great. The country must be some thing to see.
Welcome Back!! :)

Thank you all for the welcome back. I dont have a scanner for the pictures but I will try to sort something out for you "nosey" forumites. Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers! Pipey

Welcome back Pipey, it's good to hear your trip went so well. I'm off to the Celtic festival down in Austin to listen to the pipes and drums, "sip" a bit of Guinness, and maybe pick up a new pennywhistle.
Now where did I put my Sgian Dubh...............

Sarge

Thank you Sarge! I hope you find Tenants Velvet lager at the Celtic Festival.I drank that on many of my PUB missions. Oh well Im going to put the final touches on a pot of Gurkha Curry for some diner guests tonight. Cheers!

Being nosy as well, here are a couple of options. If you havent developed your pics yet, most pic developing places offer the option to place the pics on cd for you. The price isnt too bad from what Ive heard. If you have already developed them, well them same pic developing places can still put the pics on cds for you if you go back in. Now if you didnt take pics, you must describe trip in an obnoxiously detailed report.:D

Geez guys! asking for pics of his honeymoon, that's kind of personal I mean...er..OH, you meant pics of the khuks he saw on the honeymoon:o  Well, then yeah I'd like to see those;) :D

Welcome back Pipey!:) I'm jealous as hell of that trip--always wanted to go to the U.K. and Scotland in particular!

Only Pictures of Khukuris Boys! MauiRob: If you really wanted to go to Scotland you could. It's not that big of a journey and I would be able to help with contacts I have over there and with advice and suggestions on what to do Let me know. Cheers! PipeyCain

Thanks Pipey! That's very kind and much appreciated:) I'll let you know if/when I get the chance. We're expecting our second child this winter so it'll be awhile till we will want to fly I'm sure.

Rob: Thats understood. You have got your hands full for now.
I also understand your concern for flying. We made our decision knowing that once we reached Scotland that we would probably be safer there than in America. When you are ready to go let me know. I'll help you along. Cheers!

Cool, Glad you had a good time. the use of "Whilst" instead of "while" gives it away every time!

Edinburg is cool, and the castle is the most impressive one inn Scotland!
