Well, we can't stay gone forever!
I'm back from the Outer Banks of NC. Had a blast. Flew in a bi-plane, went hang gliding from 2000 feet, took a helicopter ride, watched sunrise on the beach every morning, watched dolphins and sunsets, walked a bit over 40 miles during the week at 5K to 8K every day ... and threw axes.
I took down about 40 new axes. I trade two the fellow who owns the axe lanes. I throw for free, and he gets a few axes - win-win. I buy all his broken axes for $2 each and modify/rebuild them to good throwing axes. I took along four new long axes I made.

The video is me throwing a 30" long double bit one handed. I start with two hands for stability but let go with the left as soon as the axe is moving. Notice how I use my core to provide the power to the throw ... not my arm. Most folks try to throw an axe hard, but all you need to do is launch it smoothly and let physics do its thing. I calculate every axe to its exact rotation down to the inch. This axe was 16' on the nose.
Sorry it is not very clear. My daughter shot it in a higher res, but sent it to me by text, not email. I'll try and get the better version from her.

Photos of Kat, my lovely nurse daughter (hard to believe she is 47!) and Judy, my lovely wife (not telling her age).

Art projects that Judy and I did while down there. Judy did the lighthouse and I did the ruby throated hummingbird. They look amazing hanging in a window.

Lats photo is of the best Sazerac drink I ever had at a restaurant. The surprise was the rye was Wild Turkey Rye. I never was a fan of WT, but this rye was superb.
