Took a quick trip with the wife and kids to the mountains in PA..we rented a house and did allot of hiking... Only minimal bushcrafting was accomplished.. but it was great to get some outdoor time with the little ones

Here's this Mrs and the newest one keeping it gangsta with his dew rag

Where in PA? Looks great!

You've got to be proud of your lady for looking that good after having a kid! Nice family you've got there, RR.

I've found that my large stockman is more than capable of handling the things I'll through at it for those hikes when you have the fam and won't be bushcrafting. Thanks for sharing the pics and glad to have you back

Thanks Guys....Myright We where in the Pocconos..THe lake is in Tobyhana statepark we also visited Promised land statepark, and hickory Run state park.. the waterfalls are from Bushkill falls..

Yeah my wifes a piece of work... we take staying fit pretty seriously in my house 2 weeks after her c section she was back in the gym Dont tell her doc though LOL

SC, there where plenty of fish although I didn;t get to do any fishing... My oldest is like a little proton these days... althoug he did express an interest som maybe next year he'll be ready... Plenty of bears though.... SIgn everywhere..we glimpsed a mother and 2 cubs up the trail a bit... but we decided to slowly back out of the woods..I wouldnl;t chance hiking further with the kids under those circumstances... Great trip over all sat out on the deck of the house every night and listened to the Owls..

Myright... TH large stockman is a great, versatile knife... Ive been using the shepsfoot for most of my bushcrafting.. the clip for food and game work, and the spey for gen utility... Hope you are liking yours as much as I like mine... I'm sending mine to have the spey modded to a pen blade.. ( little more utilitarian for everyday use)

You picked a great place to spend a week with the family

Nothing beats some good R&R in the woods.

Glad to have you back, RR.

Awesome stuff, getting out with the family, that is. Getting the kids out while they are young is the best way to get them to like the outdoors.

Great pics. Can't wait to get home to my little one. Is that a Large CV Stockman ?

very cool John... great pics man... looks like a fun time with the fam...

I've been skiing in the poconos a bunch but never really had the opportunity to hike there. We did some white water rafting as a kid with an overnighter mixed in but that was a long time ago. Beautiful scenery up that way.

Good idea modding the spey blade. While I really like the looks of the spey it doesn't see much use from me. I use the clip quite a bit and sheepsfoot is super useful. I don't currently own a sheepsfoot FB and am thinking about getting one. I use my Razel A LOT and it's is similar in design to a sheepsfoot in that it has a straight edge and a well defined point. I'll have to start thinking about another purchse. :D

Thanks for the kind words guys..
Caine it is a case CV Large stockman in amber bone
