A few ‘species’ not often found in the wild....:D

A magnificent Carothers Integral Dagger, a splendid Carothers Coffee Cup, and an exceptionally fine Frame-lock Folder from Mark Scrimgeour, Employee Extraordinare at Carothers Performance Knives aka Fine Custom Cutlery.

Here’s what Mark had to say about it:

‘Here are the specs:
.205 knifemaker grade 6al4v titanium lock and frame, .205 delta 3v blade (61rc) Handground with a 10” and 8” wheel, D2 lock insert & integrated stabilizer (58rc) with angle to match blade lock, AKS bearing system and Pivot ( 42rc), ti pocket clip, g10 backspacer with AKS 410ss barrel pins.’

It’s a VERY robust folder, great ergonomics, 4” blade, perfect detent for very positive opening/closing, integrated lock-face/over-travel stop, and vault-like lock-up....what’s not to like?!! ;)

Using Nate’s specific heat-treat and‘techniques’ in blade making, this is a folder that will last several lifetimes.

^^^^Beautiful Dagger, Now we know who is possession of all 3 Daggers, You Bob, and the NinJO:D

In the "wild" does not include Jo's dagger. If I had to really guess hard, I'd say that apart from Bob's and Dudley's original ownership of the CPK daggers, the 3rd one went to an obscure and little known maker whose name I can not exactly recall but it rhymed with Posse!

Very cool! If that knife didn't have silver hardware I know a certain forum member who would be in knife heaven.

But for real, when is that folder going to be available?!?!

Awesome post

Dawkind Dawkind the scales seem darker on this dagger, do you mind saying what material those are? Also, that folder of Mark's looks great, and I like the double retention straps on the dagger sheath, leaving nothing to chance. Thanks for sharing!
