Okay, I am back. Lasted a week in that job. Selling motorcycles is HARD WORK! Nuff said.

I'm going to try to get a couple knives out this week so I can get some money! Soon as I can sell a couple knives, I'll be buying some stock to make a big batch of tappers too. ;)

Its good to be home.

I sold a dirt bike, a quad, and a rice rocket. I gained a new respect for some brands of bikes and atvs that I disliked before. I also came to appreciate my bike even more than before.

Well at least you are getting a clearer picture of what you REALLY like to do.

Hey what ATV do you have?

Glad to see you back Jeff.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I have been wondering how motorcycle sales have been going, what with the high gas prices.

Jeff, that's classic. :) Good to see you back. Once you get a taste of working for yourself, it's hard to work for others isn't it.

Hey Kelly, I think you are intuitive, because motorcycle sales are totally nuts. People are shopping for bikes in the mid-range of power and price, and scooters are selling like hotcakes. They couldn't uncrate and build them fast enough while I was there. Everyone who comes through the door was asking about gas mileage. Lots of bikes being sold to women now too.

I know this is o/t, but dang it since its a out already, let me stand on the soapbox a few more minutes. Listen up...

Any of you folks thinking of getting a bike for you wife... dont! If you wife has no riding experience, it aint going to happen to her over night. My greatest fear is that these gas prices will drive a lot of people who are looking for a solution to save some money, yet still be able to drive to work, to buy motorcycles. I think because of this, we will see a lot of motorcycle fatalities this year. Just my opinion, but riding a bike or scooter may be a better choice. Safer too.

When I was about 7 or 8 years old, I distinctly remember my Mom swingin' a leg over Dad's Husqvarna. She promptly rocketed straight into a chain-link fence. Needless to say, there was a necassary application of peroxide, mercuricrome and whatever else we had in the medicine cabinet. I don't believe there was a lesson #2.

i want a buell but they just dont realy have a middle of the road bike
you can get the sissy blast or a fire bolt and know that i dont need a biger faster bike
just dont want to look like a little girl on a blast :D just thinking about 200lb of me on a blast :barf:

I want a Buell XB12 Lightning. HOT HOT HOT!

If you want a good middle-road bike, I'd have to say my picks are the Suzuki SV650 for a sportbike, the Honda Shadow Aero for a cruiser, and a Kawasaki KLR650 for a dual-sport.

I own the Kaw, but I did get to ride the other two, and I think they are the best bang for your buck. In fact, if things start looking up for me soon, I may try to get the Aero. Its a nice bike! For $6500, you get a nice ride, and shaft drive to boot.

If you want a REALLLLLLLY sweet bike, check out the Star Roadliner S. God, that bike makes me drool.

Speaking of droooooooling, for only $9,200 you can get a Sahya (sp?) delivered and set up(this is a self-contained power hammer that Tom Clark sells). That's what I'm shooting for, but I have to sell of some of my other power hammers first (which I hate to do).
Ok, back to bikes :o)
