A little history: back in about 2000 I bought my first Sebenza. I ogled it and fondled it, but it was so pretty I couldn't bring myself to carry it. So, in the safe it went. Fast forward to 2013, something came up that I wanted and I traded my beloved Sebenza off. As soon as I mailed the package I felt sick. I thought I had made a mistake. I missed the smoothness, the precision, and the bank vault lock up of the Sebenza. I have some Hinderers, several Sprint run Spyderco Militaries, even an El Patron custom. They are all great knives, but they aren't Sebenzas. I have really come to know that the CRK Sebenza is the knife that all other production, and mid-techs is measured against. I have used my Sebenza as the yardstick of comparison. Things like "locks up like a Sebenza", or "the fit and finish is like a Sebenza".
Well, last week I rejoined the CRK family with a new Sebenza 25. I was like a schoolboy all weekend waiting for it to arrive yesterday. I must say, I love the 25. All the subtle improvements are noticeable and very nice. I am carrying this one damn it! It's great to be back!!
