A little history: back in about 2000 I bought my first Sebenza. I ogled it and fondled it, but it was so pretty I couldn't bring myself to carry it. So, in the safe it went. Fast forward to 2013, something came up that I wanted and I traded my beloved Sebenza off. As soon as I mailed the package I felt sick. I thought I had made a mistake. I missed the smoothness, the precision, and the bank vault lock up of the Sebenza. I have some Hinderers, several Sprint run Spyderco Militaries, even an El Patron custom. They are all great knives, but they aren't Sebenzas. I have really come to know that the CRK Sebenza is the knife that all other production, and mid-techs is measured against. I have used my Sebenza as the yardstick of comparison. Things like "locks up like a Sebenza", or "the fit and finish is like a Sebenza".

Well, last week I rejoined the CRK family with a new Sebenza 25. I was like a schoolboy all weekend waiting for it to arrive yesterday. I must say, I love the 25. All the subtle improvements are noticeable and very nice. I am carrying this one damn it! It's great to be back!!

Welcome back. I have never been without a sebenza since my first one, but I have tried others and I always come back to CRK. This was way back when. Now I have sold off nearly all my other brands and am pretty much exclusive CRK. Enjoy your 25. I was not WOWed by it initially, but it has grown on me and now it's one of my favs. Just waiting on CGG/UG versions now.....!!!

Glad you're back. Great choice in that 25, I recently acquired one as well and I totally love it.

Take care

VB--welcome back sir. The 25 is a great choice. It is a downright shame to get rid of an 00' Seb in NIB condition, but the 25 will quell the pain and dry the tears.

Congrats on a great purchase. I picked up my 1st "real" folder, a Sebbie 25, last week and absolutely love it. I can't seem to put it down, I'm willing to use it for anything, just so I can hold it.

I got my first, Umnumzaan in July of 11. So I have not been at it that long. I have tried others and not longer have them. I don't see myself really getting anything else but have learned long ago to never say never. Welcome back!!

Glad you're carrying, loving, and using your new 25,Vegas Blade. Don't worry about scratches....Chris made it to be used and enjoyed. Not to stay pristine in you safe. :D

Thanks everyone. I have had nothing but good experiences with CRK knives. The thing is, darn it, they are SO pretty and perfect, it's hard to use them. I am and will continue to carry my 25 though. I was playing around on my Sharpmaker last night and this 25 is THE SHARPEST knife I have. I'm not a new knife guy. Like I said, I have a couple Hinderers, had an El Patron. I have played with steel from 1095 to M4 to Duratech 20CV, etc. This large hollow grind on the 25 makes the edge capable of laser like sharpness! I was push cutting newspaper 3 inches from my hand. This grind combined with the CRK craftsmanship is EPIC. I'm a "fanboy", and I'm good with that.

I've said it before and will probably say it again-I've purchased other knives for many reasons, but never because they were "better" than CRKs.

Happy for you coming back to CRK!

Glad to hear your back and enjoying your 25. Mine has not left my pocket since I got it.

What did you get for your NIB 00?!? Around here I figure those would go for a first born or equivalent.
