Just picked one up yesterday afternoon and have to say that it is the best $45 I've spent in quite a while! I really wanted to get the Groove because I had just gotten a RJ Martin Devastator which is the model for the Groove, only scaled down a bit. I have to say that when I lay them both out the Groove really looks, for lack of a better word, cute, but still manly! I don't know how Kershaw is producing so many great knives for such a low price but I'm definately for it. Kershaw has managed to capture the exact design of the Devastator with the only difference's being the mounting position of the clip and the fact you can switch the clip on the Groove for tip up or tip down. Out of the box the Groove was hair shaving sharp but after ten strokes on the edges of my Sharpmaker with the white stones, it became hair popping sharp, which is an entirely different degree of sharpness. I'm not really taken with the grooves on the blade and do not have them on my Devastator, but Kershaw has manged to pull them off on the Groove and it is an attention getter with them. Lock up with the framelock is right on the money as there is no movement in the blade, and the framelock itself is fairly stiff so there will not be an accidental unlocking to occur. Five medium strength spine whacks in a row did not dislodge the blade and in fact failed to move the lock bar at all. Fit and finish is first class with this knife and again Kershaw really has their act together to be able to produce these knives for such a low price! All I can sum up with is that this Groove is really groovy!  :D

ive had one for about 2 months, its definitely pretty unique.takes a bit of getting used to without any thumb studs, but its a lot of knife for around 50 bucks.

Nice summary review and it sounds like Kershaw has done a bang-up job with this one - much like their other recent introductions. Can't wait to put one in my hand.

I like mine, just got it, but it's not opening properly. I flip the flipper and it just opens halfway and sticks. I need to flick the whole wrist to open it. From what I've read here and elsewhere, that's not right.
