Due to Kim's hit-and-run I have been almost totally away from hunting for 6 years now, except for a couple of weekend dove shoots a year. I spend my weeks with Kim while my wife is at work, and every other weekend I travel
to Tallassee, Alabama, where my soon to be 88 year old mother, who still is mentally acute and handles most of her own affairs, is living alone on the old home place. I go down there to check on her, do the odd fix-it job, and lay in a supply of groceries.

But now Kim has progressed to the point that she is capable of managing on her own during the days when my wife is at work, and through a set of fortuitous circumstances, I today fell into a good hunting club near Auburn and about 20 minutes from my mother's house. I can now extend my weekend visits a day or two, get in a couple of days deer hunting and still take care of my duties. Finally may get to use a BAD or my ABA-LE and the PBS.

Things are looking up!

Good for you Mike, it is always nice to have some personal time to have fun, good luck hunting!

Enjoy that time !

It's always good to hear about Kim's progress.

I had the pleasure of dining with her at Blade, sans that big, gray, mother hen that's normally hovering around ;)

Sounds great, Mike. Too far for me to go to, but I'll be hunting with you in spirit.

Give Kim a hug for me. Tell her I miss her back rubs;)

God bless

Mike, glad to hear it. It's amazing how theraputic and relaxing a little time in the woods with a gun in your hand and a Busse on your side can be.
