Welcome Back Kim!

Wondered where you were....show us those pictures!
Bet you finish your 6 before I finish my 6 I am working on right now.

Cripes I feel like such a slug. I have about 12 or 14 orders and it's making me crazy - that's like a year's work for me! And you guys are just knocking out six at a time. <shakes head>

I wish I could justify it by thinking my work is so special, but I know what you guys do and it ain't that... Naw, I'm just a freakin slug.

I'm picking up my toys and going home now! <snif!>

Dont think that I do them fast Dave....6 is like 12 weeks for me.....sniff sniff :)

Now get to work Dave ;) :D You are the man at the grinder...I need one of yours one of these days. I'd like to have one of all the forum guys but that would take a lONG time to occure :D

all ya'll get back to work (insert whip noise here.) :D

Kim -- I saw one of your blades at the little knife show we have here in Springfield, Mo. Very nice work.

Brian I've thought about that too, trying to get a collection of knives by my buddies here. But cripes I started making because I was too cheap to buy custom knives...no way could I afford to make em and collect em! I'm just going to have to satisfy myself collecting the pictures you guys post... :D

I'm having a little trouble typing, as I just sliced the tip of my finger nearly off with my stupid knife! I'm sure glad I don't do that very often, I wouldn't get any work done!

Thats an idea..collect pictures :) Alot cheaper.

This is what I dont get. Alot of us started making knives because its cheaper than buying but after you get all the equipment to do it you spend like $1000 on your first 10 knives....well, actually that isnt bad at all! I just changed my way of thinking...just now!

Except...how many of those ten knives do you still have??? ;) The irony of that always blows me away. I think I'd be money ahead to have been a collector - but then I wouldn't have the great satisfacion of making stuff.

Naw...I wanna be a maker and a collector. I wonder if that's how those makers who are also purveyors got started? That would be the ideal situation, you could just keep the cream of the crop and do the great double service of making knives and selling other maker's work. Hey, I just changed my way of thinking - just now! :D

I was going to watch that movie The Machinist but I fell asleep in my freakin chair and missed the first half hour of it...this is what middle age gets you! Fall asleep in the freakin chair. I'm going to bed so I can get up in the morning and start working on...my BIG SURRISE! :D

show us that sursprise!!
I have about 10 or 12 knives I have made.... I always be sure and keep some ;)

Show us the big surprise!!! Tease!! ;)

By the way -- the Machinist is a great movie.

Hey guys, how could it be a surprise if I were to tell you about it?! So I'll just continue to tease you for a few weeks while I "prepare" it... Heeee he he he hehehe!!!

Michael I'll look to see if The Machinist is on today, I sure want to see it, I just couldn't get off my lazy ass when it was in the theater.

Actually, it's only a surprise when you do tell about it. Until then it is a secret. :p

Great to see you back, Kim.
