Well, came from the Doc earlier today.

My foot isn't fully healed yet, but she gave me the release to go back to work (yay!).

I still have to go back every other day for dressing changes and I can't shower yet, but it's coming along, and it's the first step towards getting my stuff together.

I feel good, I went out and treated myself to a haircut and took my dad out for Chinese. We haven't been out in about 6 months.

Good news indeed!!!

Maybe after been back at work for a time your next treat could be new HI addition? Have you got your eye on anything special or is it just whatever catches your interest when its offered?

Blade-wise, I answered in the other thread

Although I'm thinking of getting a Marlin 1895 CB or 1895G around Christmas time.
Last January I got laid off and had to sell almost all of my guns. The only ones I really miss are my 1895 and my vintage, MINT S&W M29-2 6.5" .44 mag, though I'm not real likely to find another like it..

Having owned and fired several hundred factory and handloads thru both a Ruger Redhawk and 10.5inch Super Blackhawk in .44mag, I also had the chance to put about 100 Federal 240 grainers thru a mate's 10 3/8th inch barreled M29 many, many years ago.

So I know that firing that 6.5" would have given you a real kick!
