back into slip joints

I learned how to make slip joints a year ago and then made half a dozen or so.
Didn't make any more for the last year and now I'm just getting back into it.

These aren't finished to a high level but wanted to get some feedback on the profile(s).
At this point I'm mostly trying to nail down the spring action.

appreciate your comments and criticism,

Those are sweet! I really like the second version with the clip point. Very well done!

Either one of those two would make a great center to any collection!
Nicely done !

I like them a lot. The hammon is a nice, not too common touch. Handles look really attractive. Would love to try one.

I'd be proud to carry those. Real nice touches with the hamon and interesting covers. Nice work!

They both appeal to me. But the clip point stag is really calling my name. Well done.

They both look like you did a nice job, and have a distinctive style to each knife. I like the fine pointy tip on the modified blade, and it looks like a good angle that makes the tip easy to be precise with.

The only thing I can think of that could be improved based on what can be seen in the photos is the addition of a sharpening choil on both knives.

If you put the clip point blade on the first's handle, it'd be perfect, at least to me, haha. I really like the blade profile on the clip, it's unique. They're both really great knives, that blue streak really sets the first one off.

Love the blade on the first and the handle on the second. Good looking both though!

I really like the first one save for the inlaid turquoise. But then I live in a tourist town and inlaid turquoise is all the rage in the souvenir shops and I see way too much of it. So it must sell and I'm the one who's jaded. I do admit to thinking it was kind of cool the first time I saw it. I can't get excited about the shape of the clip blade. I don't mind the clip starting way back near the pivot, but the hump isn't my cup of tea. It reminds me of a Spyderco, and I've always thought them lacking in aesthetic ... just my thoughts, not trying to be negative at all. I really like that hamon.

Thx for the feedback so far

To clarify, the blade steel on both is laminated steel or San mai. Hitachi white core with ss outer cladding. I hand forged and heat treated, quenched in water and then etched to reveal the core. Thus it not a hamon you are seeing

Okay, that's even cooler.

I prefer the shape of the first one, but they are both nice. The Harmon is a nice touch!!
