It's always a treat to see the boys walking around the shop with a pipe in hand, it definitely makes me want to hear them say "Indubitably my dear Watson"

Yes!!!! They need to say that every hour on the hour now LOL

Petes are great pipes! I've got more than I care to admit. I'll post some pics soon.

If anyone has ever read Patrick McManus you would know that smoking a pipe instantly increases your intelligence in the eyes of those arround you. Even if you have just fallen off a tall tree snag, while tryign to fly fish. Quickly light up your pipe, so by the time the other fishermen come to check on you (and perhaps steal your excellent fishing spot), they see you puffing contepmplatively on your pipe, gazing with a furrowed brow at the recently vacated log pearch and think you were simply conducting an experiment with gravity.

I, of course, have read Patrick McManus and will know you are simply an idiot who fell off a high log. I will then steal your fishing spot................

This thread needs some pics. I would love to get a pipe for around the camp when the bugs are bad and need some ideas. Which ones are good ones and which ones are the ones to stay away from? I know nothing about them.

Something about Beef with a pipe makes me grin. Pipes seem to be lost on most of the younger generation. Nice to see that there are still a few out there that enjoy a puff now and then.

I've been wearing a patch and chewing gum like a madman for two weeks. I've got a humidor half full of expensive cigars that I'm not supposed to smoke and an empty snuff tin ring in all my pants. Enjoy boys; wish it was me!!

Not a Busse two weeks...actually 14 days. Well 10 days, but who cares?!?

I've got a Savinelli Baronet 320 (author) that is a great smoke when I get the time to enjoy it.

The best part about a pipe is that my wife doesnt hate the smell like she does with cigars.

I prefer a pipe over a cigar most of the time. I quit smoking cigarettes about a year ago. I actually haven't had a pipe out since maybe mid summer. My problem with cigars is I end up with tongue burn about half way through. Or at least a bad taste. Doesn't seem to matter what cigar. I think I smoke a pipe slower. You put it down, do whatever and can relight it without having that nasty flavor you often get by re-lighting a cigar that's gone out. I have 6 or 7 pipes. One meerchaum, one corn cob and the rest are briar. There's a local shop that has really good blends. I'd imagine most of mine is all dried out now since I don't have a humidor. I pretty much only smoke the pipe around the camp fire.
