A small two-finger knife I made to carry in my back pocket.
5 3/8" overall, 2 3/8" blade. O1. Maple scales, nickel-silver pins and thong hole.

I think it's a cool design. I think that small fixed-blade EDCs are just going to grow in popularity. I think this is the first two-finger waist-carry (if I can say that) blade. I've seen similar sized pieces for neck carry, but nothing quite like this. This configuration has a future.

For rear pocket carry, I'd want something more resistant to the moisture of perspiration. What about stainless steel, or perhaps D2? I'd also lean towards a synthetic handle material like micarta.

BTW, I'm a fellow Canuck.

Thanks, and good ideas. When I start getting into stainless, I'll try that. Also, I think micarta would be better too. Finally, the sheath would be better in the shape of a wallet -- I find the blade shape allows the knife to shift around, making me uncomfortable. An inner lining of kydex would also help with the moisture.

Where abouts in Canada you from?

I like the idea of a sheath with the profile of a wallet is very interesting.

I'm originally from Montreal, but I've lived in London and Hamilton. Currently, I'm living in Fort Hope/Eabamet Lake, a fly-in Ojibway reserve about 350km north of Thunder Bay.

I went ice fishing this afternoon. We get a half-dozen pike, but no pickerel.:(

I've lived in London, too, and spent 2 years in Thunder Bay. I miss TBay and the north country very much. I spent one summer tree planting near Manitouwadge with a group of Ojibway from Pickle Lake. They were a fun bunch, and planted twice as many trees as us southern boys -- no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't even come close to keeping up with them. I don't miss the blackflies, though!

I remember going fishing last June. I wore long sleeves, long pants, and a mosquito net over my head. Man, the bugs were still killing me. The fishing was great, though. I kept about ten of the 30+ pickerel that I caught. Awesome. On one stretch, I caught four fish on four casts. Oh yeah, my biggest kill of the day was when I hit my knee and killed six mosqitoes.

My family used to go to Ottawa every year for Winterlude. I have fond memories of skating on the canal There were also a lot of field trips to the various museums in the area. As a child, my favourites were the war museum, and science and technology museum. Great stuff. I'd love to live there. If you hear of any teaching jobs, let me know.

Ranger makes a two-finger knife with a coated blade and micarta handles. It comes with a kydex neck sheath.
