Back Pocket Framelock

I need a new back pocket framelock knife. I have started carrying a slipjoint in my front pocket and a framelock in my back pocket beside my wallet. So far I've been carrying my Spyderco Cricket or Kershaw Storm II. I like both of them but I'd like something larger than the Cricket and smaller or near the same as the Storm but with a blade that doesn't have such a recurve. I'm leaning toward a Leek but want to make sure I'm not overlooking something. I'd like to keep the price under $75. I could go for something that is not a framelock as long as I can put the clip where I want it and the knife isn't thick. I am carrying the knives in my back right pocket with the blade toward the outside of the pocket, tip down. Any ideas?

I'm not a big fan of carrying in the rear pockets but you've got to try a Leek if you haven't already. The Leek just flat works, and it's a handsome little devil to boot! I use to have a Storm II and I much prefer the Leek.

i can go with kershaw. the shallot is one id suggest for the size almost of the storm but its slimmer and less recurve.

The knife in the photo is a Buck Pilot. 420HC blade and a framelock. Slim enough to be comfortable in a back pocket and you can get one for around $20.00....

You may want to search the web for a Buck Hilo or Cutback... They are Framelocks as well... Or even a Benchmade Monochrome which I believe has N690 steel...

The Leek is an excellent knife, as posters before me have stated.

Don't overlook the Shallot, either, however. Despite its slight recurve, it's an excellent knife and not inherently difficult to sharpen.

I have a Kershaw Junkyard dog in my back pocket now, it is a frame lock and pretty affordable at around $35, I only have 2 problems with it 1. fugly clip, but it rides in my back pocket so I don't mind and 2. the air force symbol took away from the riveted steel look so I faded it with sand paper.

It's the stupid looking clip and the sandpaper inserts on the Storm that makes me want something else. I forgot to mention that in my original post. I guess it will be a leek or random leek for me.

Well, I can relate. I carry a traditional in my front pocket and a one-hander in my back pocket.

Look at the Benchmade Monochrome. It is very thin. It is a Framelock. It has a great bladeshape. It has excellent steel. It is what I carry most often. I have a number of one-handers including a Delica and a mini-grip. I like the Monochrome better. It is also one of the best deals around. ~ $35 + shipping if you buy online.

Here is a review that I wrote of the Monochrome .

Look at the Boker M type. Excellant bang for the buck and pretty thin for a framelock folder. Very ergonomic too. keepem sharp
