Back spacers in BM 750

hi, everyone,
I just brought a frame lock BM750 as my EDC. I have owned various Spyderco but is impressed by the BM frame lock. Excellent knife with solid lock up with no blade play. Question is i noticed the back spacer is made of plastic and looks cheezy on an all metal knife. So, does anyone out there know that if there is a replacement spacer for the knife that's non-plastic. If not then could someone tell me if any custom smith willing to made one and put it on.
Also, is it difficult to take apart the knife and has anyone done it before. Any special instruction or trick to it since i am not that handy. thanks for any input!!
 
My plastic back spacer broke on my AFCK, so if you find a replacement parts dealer or someone to make you one, let me know
 
I'm not very familiar with the Pinnacle, so I could be wrong; but looking at the pictures I think it would be easy enough to remove the plastic spacer and put individual round spacers on each of the screws. This would hold the knife together and give an "open back" appearance.

I think that all you would need would be some steel spacers that are a slightly larger hole diameter than the screws and as high as the spacer is wide.
 
The 750 is very easy to take down. There are only three screws if I remember correctly. Once apart you can polish the inside of the frame where the blade tang rotates. You can also polish the blade tang itself and ther pivot around which it turns. All this polishing will help to smooth the action. It will void your warranty, which means that if anything goes amiss on the knife you will have to pay for repairs. If you simply take it apart and do no polishing of anything and put it back together agaion I doubt if BM would ever know that it had been apart. There are several folks on the forums that are handy with suck things and could perhaps make you a titanium or stainless spacer to match the plastic one. Fishbulb has a great idea with some stainless spacers for standoffs! That would look excellent.
