Back spring heartache

Was at work today when I needed to trim a piece of wire loom. Opened up my clip point on my slip joint and "tink" Looked down and my back spring had broken. I inspected it and the break was clean like a piece of cut glass. My guess is the spring was tempered a bit too hard. The real problem is that it's a Queen brand knife with the D2 blades. Is there any way to have it repaired? The original Queen manufacturer went out of business. Would anyone be able to make any recommendations?

For what it's worth, Queen's D2-bladed knives had backsprings of 420HC. I'd directly inquired to them about that some years ago, before they went out of business. There was debate here on the forum at the time as to whether their springs were also in D2, which would've been impractical at the very least. Others here had also suffered broken springs on Queen's traditional folders, which is why there was some discussion & debate on the topic. It likely was a heat treat/tempering problem for them. If you can find a craftsman here who's willing to do it for you, the material for the springs might be easier to source, at least.
