Back Springs

Once a custom slip joint is made is it possible to adjust (lighhten) the back spring tension?

Use it. When you use it tension with grow lighter.

Its possible.

It would involve taking the knife apart and either somehow re-heat treating the springs, or making new ones.

Expect it to be expensive, might cost as much as the knife to begin with.
