So what's the story of the Harpy Plain-edge? How many were made?

What are the odds of me ever finding one and what are they going for right now?

I don't know how many hundreds were produced, but they have become pretty scarce. I obtained one of the early production models for my collection, and then I got a more recent version through Japan a couple years ago (at a pretty high conversion rate from Yen to $$).

Think these are hard to find? Try locating a left-hand variant Harpy in PE!!! Seen a pic of one, once, but that's it.

I'm almost certain that there were no G-10 PE Harpies, and I am certain that there were SS PE Harpies.

That's the sprint run I want. G10 Harpy with PE S30V. I believe the PE Merlins are FRN.

I don't recall any plan edge G-10 Harpies, especially S30V. Sal, any help here?

I have a vague recollection (at my age everything's pretty vague :)) that Sal made a special one-off PE G10 Harpy for someone here on the forum. Was it Marion David Poff? It was made by grinding the serrations off a SE blade.

Yes, Clay...I too remember that a special knife was made for someone by grinding the teeth down to PE. As such, this knife would be quite special, but not to a factory-variant collector like me.

The only G-10 Harpys I know of has SE blades, and I have a SS handled original PE Harpy (just not the more-rare left hander in PE). I do have a SE lefty, though.

One lucky forumite posted a pic many moons ago of his left-handed PE Harpy, so the holy grail of my collection remains at large (good thing, too, otherwise I'd have to collect something else).
